Qoyod or Wafeq? A Practical Comparison for Saudi Businesses, and When You Need Odoo Instead

Published 2026 prices, what each plan really includes, and two worked examples

Short answer: Qoyod and Wafeq are both well established Saudi cloud accounting platforms with Arabic support and ZATCA e-invoicing. Wafeq gives you more users per plan and includes payroll and unlimited branches in its Premium plan. Qoyod has a simpler three plan structure, offers a point of sale add-on, and charges separately for extra users, locations and payroll. If your business holds stock, runs a cashier or will need more than accounting within two years, compare both of them with a full ERP such as Odoo before you decide.

Qoyod prices in 2026

Qoyod publishes three plans. The prices below include 15 percent VAT, as listed in Qoyod's own knowledge base.

PlanAnnualMonthlyUsersLocations
BasicSAR 1,380SAR 13811
ProSAR 2,070SAR 20733
AdvancedSAR 3,795SAR 379.555

Add-ons are billed separately and are quoted excluding VAT: SAR 240 per extra user, SAR 480 per extra location, SAR 600 per point of sale cashier user, and SAR 120 per employee for payroll. Two details matter more than the headline price: the Basic plan has no purchasing module, and ZATCA Phase 2 integration starts from the Pro plan.

Wafeq prices in 2026

Wafeq publishes its Saudi prices in riyals. Annual billing costs the equivalent of 10 months, so it is noticeably cheaper than paying monthly.

PremiumSAR 2,390SAR 24920Complete accounting, payroll and unlimited branches

Wafeq does not include a point of sale in its published plans. A shop, restaurant or pharmacy on Wafeq will usually run a separate POS system alongside it.

Two worked examples

Example 1: a small trading company with 2 users

The company buys from suppliers and sells to customers from one location, and must issue ZATCA compliant invoices. It needs purchasing, so the entry plan on both platforms is not enough.

OptionPlan neededAnnual cost
QoyodPro, because Basic has one user and no purchasingSAR 2,070 including VAT
WafeqPlus, the first plan with purchasesSAR 1,430
Hosted OdooAdvanced, with sales, purchases and inventory for 5 usersSAR 800

Example 2: 4 users, 2 branches and 5 employees on payroll

A growing company with an accountant, two sales staff and a manager, two branches, and a small payroll to run every month.

Line itemQoyodWafeq
Base planPro, SAR 2,070 including VATPremium, SAR 2,390
Fourth userSAR 240Included, up to 20 users
Second branchIncluded, up to 3 locationsIncluded, unlimited branches
Payroll for 5 employeesSAR 600Included
Annual totalAbout SAR 2,910SAR 2,390

In this configuration Wafeq costs less because users, branches and payroll sit inside one plan, while on Qoyod each of them is a separate line. Qoyod quotes plan prices with VAT and add-ons without it, so put every quote on the same basis before you compare.

When Qoyod is the better choice

  • You want accounting and a cashier from the same vendor. Qoyod offers a point of sale add-on, while Wafeq does not include one.
  • You value a team built in Riyadh. Qoyod is a Saudi product with Arabic support during Saudi working hours.
  • Your accountant already works on Qoyod. An accounting office that knows a platform well is worth more than a feature list.
  • Your needs are small and stable. One to three users with no payroll fit the Basic and Pro plans comfortably.

When Wafeq is the better choice

  • You have more users than a typical small office. Plus covers 5 users and Premium covers 20 without per user charges.
  • You run payroll. Premium includes it, so you do not pay per employee.
  • You have several branches. Premium includes unlimited branches.
  • You receive many supplier invoices. Automatic scanning of Arabic invoices saves real data entry time.
  • You operate in more than one Arab country. Wafeq publishes plans for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and other Gulf countries.

When neither is enough: consider Odoo

Qoyod and Wafeq are accounting software. The question changes when the work that happens before the invoice becomes the hard part. Look at an ERP such as Odoo if any of these apply to you:

  • You manage stock across several warehouses, with lots, serial numbers or expiry dates.
  • You manufacture or assemble products.
  • You run a shop or restaurant where the point of sale must update inventory directly.
  • You want a sales pipeline, e-commerce, projects or maintenance in the same system.
  • You have more than one company and want them in one database.
  • You want your data in an open format that you can take with you.

For reference, our hosted Odoo plans for small businesses are priced as follows, with ZATCA Phase 1 and Phase 2 included on every plan:

AdvancedSAR 8005Sales, purchases and inventory
Point of SaleSAR 1,20010Point of sale and restaurant POS

Full details are on the Odoo small business package page.

Four questions to ask before you choose

  1. How many people need to log in? Count the accountant and every cashier, not just the owner.
  2. Do you buy from suppliers and hold stock? If yes, the entry plans on both platforms are out.
  3. Will you run payroll? Per employee pricing adds up quickly as you hire.
  4. What will you need in two years? Switching systems later costs more than choosing carefully now.

Frequently asked questions

Are Qoyod and Wafeq both compliant with ZATCA e-invoicing?

Both support ZATCA e-invoicing, including Phase 2 integration on the plans that include it. Confirm that the specific plan you choose covers Phase 2 before you subscribe.

Which is cheaper, Qoyod or Wafeq?

It depends on your configuration. For invoicing only, Wafeq Starter costs SAR 1,190 against SAR 1,380 for Qoyod Basic. With purchases, Wafeq Plus costs SAR 1,430 against SAR 2,070 for Qoyod Pro. With payroll and several users, the gap usually widens in Wafeq's favour.

Can I move from Qoyod or Wafeq to Odoo later?

Yes. The clean approach is to move at the start of a financial period with opening balances, customers, suppliers and products, and to keep the old system as a read only archive. Your ZATCA history stays with the authority, but you must onboard the new system before issuing invoices from it.
